So Long September

Maybe it is just me, but September just flew by....

Abigail almost had her first round of stitches. She found my piano in a very unfortunate way, but yet playing on the couch is still fun. It seems to be healing quite nicely, thankfully. The doctor debated putting a stitch in it, but said the effort it would take to do so would probably not help it heal much better.... We have made a few visits the last few months to the urgent care at the pediatrician's office. One night while playing on the toys at the mall, Abigail suddenly kept falling and limping - she was quite confused as her leg normally worked, and she wondered why she could't run. They could find nothing - and it is still a little baffling. She never seemed to really be in pain, and she is just fine now-. We have also had a few trips with ear aches.

Abigail got another ear ache at the beginning of the month. Her and I ended up on an air mattress downstairs. She is now seeing an ENT and trying some medicine that we hope gets the fluid out of her ears - she is stuck as it is genetic (both her parents had ear issues) and a preemie thing.

Enjoying some chocolate ice cream

She loves shoes right now. She also knows we put them on to leave -- so when we mention leaving, she often tries to help Daddy and Mommy get their shoes.

My grandma got remarried to Grandpa Tex. It was a very sweet and simple ceremony. Both of them had lost their spouses and are enjoying rekindling an old friendship from when they were younger. Abigail managed to fall asleep during the luncheon. I was surprised she stayed asleep through most of the clean-up.

She can be such a goof -- John captured this shot. We are not sure what she was trying to do.

She has become so adventurous and exploratory. I can tell she is starting to discover her imagination. It is so crazy the stuff she comes up with sometimes....like deciding to wear her bowl at dinner.

FAMILY HOME EVENING FUN: We decided to make cookies for FHE one Monday. Abigail loves cooking.

Towards the end she thought it was more fun to just take the oven mitts and sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" - which sounds more like "Inkle, Inkle" - super cute.

Modeling with Daddy what we think she will wear for Halloween - awesome sale at Old Navy last year. I am not too sure what it is, but it was about $2.00 and cute!

John caught her striking this pose one day.

Abigail likes to put her dolls in her high chair and on her other toys. She is giving Mickey Mouse a ride on her cart. She affectionately calls just about anything from "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" "Hot Dog" - or "Ot Dah" in Abigail language. She is love with that show and "The Little Einsteins". "Ot Dah" and "Pat Pat" are well watched in our home.

Abby is so cute and adventurous. I am glad her injuries were not serious and that she is such a fun and creative little girl. We love her and all of you!

My kids, thankfully, have never had a run in with my piano. That is one thing I was always scared of. Hope she is healing well!
